HULL REPAIR/ RENEWAL

These repairs can be carried out above or below water, according to the circumstances, with tailor-made mob docks – no need for dry-docking. LTD. procedure for welding cracks in the vessel's shell plating and they are approved by the major classification societies. M/S. LALITALAXMI INFRA SUPPORTS PVT. LTD. technician teams carry out these in-situ hull repairs all over the world. In most cases the damaged area can be replaced with a permanent insert and no condition of class is imposed. On the rare occasions where the damage does not allow such a repair, a temporary doublers plate is installed over the affected area.

We have mentioned a important job undertaken in the recent past. - We have done large volumes of structural steel repairs / renewals on various commercial ships. We have undertaken sub assembly, assembly and consolidation of accommodation blocks for tugs passenger cum cargo vessels , Tanker and Cargo Launch Ship. - Structural steel plates or aluminum plates are fabricated and assembled to form the ship or erection units. Erection units are assembled to form ships. Steel plates are replaced during repair and conversion work.

HATCH COVERS:
We have repaired hatch or hatchway which is the opening at the top of a cargo hold. The mechanical devices which allow hatches to be opened and closed are called hatch covers. In general the hatch covers were between 45% and 60% of the ship's breadth, or beam, and 57% to 67% of the length of the holds. To efficiently load and unload cargo, hatches must be large, but large hatches present structural problems. Hull stress is concentrated around the edges of the hatches, and these areas must be reinforced.

- We had work on INS BEAS, INS BRAHMAPUTRA , INS SHARDUL ETC. - Working on these types of ships provided us with an insight into the stringent quality standards and various stage / final inspection and trial requirements to be adhered to on Naval Vessels. We met satisfactorily the inspection and Trial schedules and acceptance criteria of Naval Inspection and Trials teams. - Our Professionalism in handling jobs and the high quality workmanship earned us a major refurbishment job of a Naval Ship. The work involved I) repairing, realigning of structural and mechanical systems ii) Degutting, cleaning and regutting of high pressure hydraulic piping system, Overhauling of Hydraulic equipment, extensive renewal of high pressure hydraulic hoses and piping, flushing of systems to NAS 6 cleanliness standard and proving the systems.
